February is the month of love. And along with this month comes the increasing need to express your love to those you care about the most. So, what better way to bring in the holiday than by sharing a few Valentine’s date ideas that you can use while spending time with your loved ones!
Keep on reading below to check them out.
Valentine’s Date Ideas
Make Your Favorite Dish Together
“Food is symbolic of love when words are inadequate”
– Aland D. Wolfelt
Having dinner is a classic Valentine’s day date idea. But instead of going out to a restaurant, you should try making your significant other’s favorite meal (or, if you want to try something new, you both can try out some other dinner ideas for Valentine’s day).
I really like this idea because it not only allows you to spend more time with each other, but I think that the extra effort helps to express your love even more.
Also, even if you do decide to make a fancy dinner doesn’t mean that it has to cost a bunch. You can save money and avoid restaurant markups by making your dinner at home! However, if you do decide to eat out at a restaurant, don’t forget to check and see if they’re offering a Valentine’s Day discount.
Base The Date On A Common Passion
When I was brainstorming some other Valentine’s day date ideas that couples could try, I thought it would be fun to include an activity that would include both of your passions. So, my question to you is, “What are somethings that you both enjoy doing?”
For example, having a session to create a song for your loved one would be a thoughtful and romantic date idea for couples who enjoy music.
Or, if you are both artistically inclined and have an appreciation for art, then your date can involve making artwork for one another.
Regardless of your passion, the purpose of this idea is to make sure that you spend time with your loved one while doing something you both enjoy.
Have A Valentine’s Day Picnic
Hear me out on this one. For a lot of places, February is still a chilly month. So, I thought that a great date idea for the wintery weather would be an indoor picnic.
You can prepare a few delicious finger foods such as sandwiches, diced fruit, and kebabs to bring along to your picnic.
You can also make your Valentine’s Day meal even more special by laying out a blanket and adding pillows to create a cozy atmosphere.
Attend Valentine’s Day Events In Your Area
Since it’s Valentine’s day, there’s bound to be some places that have something fun that the both of you can enjoy!
You can always check out events in your local area to see if there’s something fun to do. Or, if you know that that your community regularly hosts Valentine’s Day activities, you both can try those out instead.
You can also check out EventBrite, Facebook events, Craigslist, and other sources to find other things to do in your city.
Host A Valentine’s Day Movie Night
You can never go wrong with a movie night! If you both are die-hard movie fans, then you would probably like to check out a new release at your local theater.
Or you could create your own theater at home and watch movies there (not only is this more convenient and comfortable, but it also gives you access to a wider selection of movies).
This is also a great option if you both wanted to save money and wanted to try a romantic and cheap date idea for Valentine’s Day. You can check out some nice free streaming options in my post: Save Money By Using A Free Streaming Service.
Go And Dance The Night Away
Going out to dance would be a romantic date idea for couples who are really active and love to be on the move.
So, if this is something that you’re both interested in, I would recommend looking into local businesses that offers a great place to dance at an affordable price.
However, if you both are looking to take a dance lesson (which can get a little pricey depending on where you go), you should try finding the right studio for both of your needs.
Also, don’t worry if you have two left feet. If you find that you would prefer to dance at home for more privacy, you can!
And the great thing about this option is that you can still take virtual dance lessons too! All you need is an Internet connection, a device to watch the videos, and your dancing partner.
Conclusion
I hope that you enjoyed the different Valentine’s Day date ideas that I shared with you all! Let me know if you’ll try one of these out or if you have any other suggestions.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
